About Botswana

If you were to add up the total area of land Botswana dedicates to the protection of wildlife, it would be more than twice the size of Ireland. With fences or barriers few and far between, it gives you the chance to experience wild Africa at its most pure and unfettered.

One of the most iconic sights on the continent is when thousands of different wildlife species congregate in the Okavango Delta during the dry season. Chobe National Park is the jewel in Botswana’s crown, with more African elephants than anywhere else on Earth and a wide variety of predators roaming along its riverfront. With exclusive and remote safari resorts, Botswana offers a more personal experience with its rare and wonderful wildlife than some of its busier neighbours.

When to go

Dry season is from June to October at peak season rates. November to April is excellent for bird watching but you can expect the odd shower.
